For Jaudon Mixon, the appreciation for craftsmanship and manufacturing is deeply personal.

Long before Carolina Custom Cabinets became part of his story, generations of his family demonstrated what it meant to work hard, take risks, overcome challenges, and build something that could endure.

His step-grandfather, Ralph Wilson Sr., founded Wilsonart, a company that would become an internationally recognized name in decorative surfaces. But Jaudon's earliest memories of him are not simply of a successful businessman. They are memories of a man coming home from work, trips for ice cream, and the quiet example of someone who dedicated his life to building something meaningful.

Today, Jaudon still has Ralph's desk in his home, the same desk where his grandfather once worked.
It is more than a piece of furniture. It is a tangible reminder of the people who shape us and the things we leave behind.

But the family story did not begin with success. Previous generations worked the land, endured loss, moved, rebuilt, pursued education, and created new opportunities. Each generation's decisions helped shape the path of the next.

Those experiences instilled an appreciation for honest work, the value of making things well, and the responsibility of carrying something forward.
That legacy is part of what guides Carolina Custom Cabinets today. It is reflected in our respect for the people who make our products, the quality of the work we produce, and our belief that something built with care can become part of another family's story.
